Tap Into Your Sexual Energy

by | Apr 10, 2023

As I emerge from an amazing Retreat co-facilitated with Steph Levine (MasterPeace Haven) where we combined Qoya and SOMA Breath, my creativity and ease to be in my feminine energy have been raised. Thanks to Tricia McKenna’s amazing Kundalini Yoga opening for my Awakening Limitless breathwork session, I’m confident that spring is the time to introduce you to breathing techniques to awaken your sexual energy and raise your Level Of Vibrational Energy (LOVE) to the highest level possible and awaken the Kundalini! Elevating your sexual energy is about finding the space to reconnect back with your body, to BE present, and to realize that you can impact any kind of relationship that you have, intimate or non-intimate, because that energy that you project outside of you will undoubtedly impact your surroundings and the people you interact with. In return, it will change the way other people react to you! This practice can provide a way for you to discover, harness and transmute your sexual life-force energy for healing, self-awareness, manifestation, taking decisive action in your life and to help others do the same! Your life-force energy is held in the root chakra and as you visualize a current of energy moving through your body, it activates the pineal gland, part of your endocrine system responsible, in part, for the release of “feel good” hormones and neurotransmitters such as dopamine and oxytocin while elevating alpha brain waves proven to increase calmness, creativity and your ability to absorb new information…oh how I LOVE the science of it all! Since transmutation of sexual energy has 3 constructive potential uses: a) the perpetuation of mankind; (b) the maintenance of health & vitality; and (c) the ability to create something great out of nothing…YOU can become a conscious creator to heal and maintain wellness in your body, mind and spirit and make the world a better place!

At the end of the guided Practice described below, check out the important announcement to see details on the 9-day SOMA Breathwork-Qoya Retreat being offered in Amazonia Peru in the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Reserve February 2-10, 2024 and learn how you can save over $1000K during early bird registration!

The Practice:

Power Breathing & Kevala Kumbhaka Techniques are both used for harnessing and transmuting sexual energy. The pelvic floor is the area of the body that helps to awaken this energy by contracting the Mula Bhanda (as if you were trying to hold in urine) on your inhale and relaxing it on your exhale. Repeated contraction of these muscles combined with rhythmic breathing pumps this energy throughout the body. The power of this breath technique is enhanced if you imagine and visualize moving this energy up around your body and creating a flowing circuit of white light. Belly breathing only!
1. This Practice can be performed at any time of day. It is an energizing meditation, so if you have difficulty falling asleep, it is not recommended as a “before bed” breath Practice.

2. Sit in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and BE with yourself for 5-minutes before beginning the Practice.

3. Set an intention for yourself.

4. Find a percussion rhythm to listen to with 2:2 timing that will last for 30-minutes. You will breathe 5-10 minutes for the first few times you perform this Practice. When you get used to this type of breathing, I strongly recommend you challenge yourself to go 15-30 minutes and to see the difference this Practice can have over a longer duration of time…total bliss!

5. Set your timer on your phone and turn the music on and breath in through your nose deeply for 2-seconds and exhale through our mouth with a sound or a sigh for 2 seconds. Align your body, mind and spirit with the rhythm of the music…let the music guide your breathing and body movements. Each time you inhale squeeze your Mula Bhanda and on each exhale relax the Mula Bhanda. Breathe in a rhythm like a wave and let your body move with each breath. You can enhance the experience by rocking forward on the inhale when squeezing your Mula Bhanda and clenching your fists and then rocking backward and releasing your clenched fists and Mula Bhanda OR instead of clenching and relaxing your fists, you can raise your hands, palms upward to chest height on the inhale and releasing them palms faced downward on the exhale to waist height. Don’t forget to squeeze and relax the Mula Bhanda!

6. Repeat this process for 5-10 minutes for the first few days and then increase 5-minutes more each day until you reach 30-minutes!

7. At the end of the time you set, just relax with eyes closed and look to your 3^rd eye and enjoy the visualizations and downloads until you are ready to stop the Practice. Thank yourself for showing up!

8. Reflect and journal how you were feeling before the Practice and how you felt at the end of the Practice. Take notice of your energy, creativity and interactions with others throughout the day.

Weekly Breath Challenge:
I invite you to incorporate this technique at least once each day this week. For the first 3-days, do it for 5-10 minutes and each day following add an additional 5-minutes on to the Practice.

With love and gratitude …just breathe and let peace be your guide!
