Cara Creek operates using solar power and water from the land. Electricity and wifi are available at the main lodge and dining area. There are hot water showers available 24/7.

✨ All in-country transportation (we will depart Cara Lodge to return to Porto airport on 7/9 after breakfast. Departures should be late afternoon/early evening).

Maria Brown, MS, PWS, GISP, Neurosomatic Breath Therapy Practitioner, Creative Wellness Coach & Visual Artist
Retreat Logistical Leader, Breathwork & Intuitive Art Facilitator, CEO Serenity Wellness & Coaching Services, LLC, New York. I began my career as a Professional Wetland Scientist, Restoration Ecologist, and Geospatial Analyst. After delivering my twins in 1994, I embraced heart-centered living as a stay-at-home mom for five years. When my children began kindergarten, I transitioned into education, spending 22 years as a high school science teacher on Long Island, NY, while also serving as an adjunct lecturer at Stony Brook University for 12 years, teaching geospatial analytics in the School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences. In 2020, a life-changing event with my son led me to confront severe PTSD. This profound journey of healing opened the door to breathwork, RTT, sound healing, energy therapies, and intuitive painting—modalities that transformed my life. My mission now is to share these healing practices with as many people as possible, spreading love, light, and the power of heart-centered living.

As a Visual Business & Life Coach and Artist, I am passionate about practicing and coaching others into creating a "MasterPeace" of their lives and choosing to be the master of one's inner peace. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and have resided in the Valley of the Sun since 1982. I hold a BA in Special Education from ASU and an active Real Estate Broker's License.I am an extremely proud mother of three amazing and talented adult children.
